Thrice the Lucky 7: Lines From The 7th Page
Some time in April, while I was completely out of the loop, I was tagged by not one, but two lovely authors to take part in the Lucky 7 meme. (Yeah, I know, I'm slow.) And then this week, I got tapped again. (OMG, you like me! You really like me!) Luckily I have a book, a WIP, and a short from which to post and figured I'll do them a few days apart. (Go me!) I have K.E. Saxon, Tonya Cannariato, and Carrie Crane (Wildcat's Wife) to thank for thinking of me. You ladies are wonderful.
So here are the simple rules:
- Go to page 7 or 77 in your current manuscript
- Go to line 7
- Copy down the next seven lines/sentences exactly as they are
- Tag 7 other authors
So here are 7 from page 77 of Girl Under Glass. This sci-fi novel is scheduled to release in July.
“Why didn’t Michael send Adam sooner?”
Because he’s an evil, misogynistic bastard who deserves to have his testicles diced. “I don’t know, Pearl, I really don’t know.”
“Didn’t he love her?”
We passed through Suffer’s gate and I shivered; I’d forgotten my wrap in Mary’s room. “No, I don’t think he did.”
“But they were married.”
The evil misogynistic bastard is Michael who's wife just died (unnecessarily) in childbirth. Adam is his fourteen-year-old son.
The authors I'm tagging are people I've seen slogging through the writing trenches for quite some time:
