The word was clear and strong and Bartholomew looked down, surprised by its power.
The older girl stalked toward her defiant prey. Hand outstretched she said, “Gimme that or we’ll smash yer face, Tilly.”
“No. This is fer Samuel. Git yer own, Mary.”
